The labor dispute between Coca Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. and Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. Employees Union (CCBPIEU) involving 6,000 employees was settled on January 16, 2020 after the parties reached an agreement on the notice of strike filed.
In an effort to shift into a more efficient and automated way of processing financial transactions, the NCMB conducted a 3-day seminar-workshop on Budget and Training Management System (BTMS) for the regional branches at Robbinsdale Residences, Quezon City last December 10 – 12, 2019.

The officials of the Board took a time off from their Directors’ Meeting to surprise Director Quimpo with a sweet early morning serenade at the break of dawn to show their gratitude for her years spent with the Board.
The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branches (RCMBs) of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) are preparing towards the 12th National Convention on Labor- Management Cooperation in coordination with the Philippine League of Labor Management Cooperation (PHILAMCOP), Labor Management Cooperation Practitioners – Northern Mindanao, Inc. (LMCP-NMI) and Labor Management Cooperation- Voluntary Arbitration Advocates, Inc. (LMC-VAA) Iligan.
The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch-V (RCMB-V) was recognized by PhilHealth Regional Office V as one of its top performing agencies in its Awarding and Recognition Ceremony for Top Performing Provinces and Municipalities, employers and Accredited Collecting Agents.
ROAD TO BTMS
In coordination with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the National Conciliation and Mediation Board has recently attended a two-day Power Users’ Training on the budget execution function of the Budget and Treasury Management System (BTMS) held at Little President Building, San Miguel, Manila last September 26-27, 2019. The users’ training is part of the preparation of the Board to equip the NCMB officials and staff to test run the functionality of the BTMS in preparation for its full implementation in 2020.
